Made in Brittany with boldly shaped panels and carved mouldings with decorative turned boxwood spindles typical of the region. The original opening now upholstered. France circa 1850.

Shaped ladder back with decorative arms over turned legs and stretchers with matching ottoman. Made in the Loire Valley of richly patinated cherrywood circa 1820.

18th Century Louis XVI French Provincial Chaise Longue (Sold)

Made of golden colored beech with a rectangular back with concave corners and leaf carved finials within a moulded frame, fluted scrolled arms above a bowed seat. The ottoman with a conforming concave end, both parts on stop-fluted tapering legs with carved paterae. Made in southern France circa 1780.
