Unusual Early 19th Century French “Empire” Enfilade (Buffet with 4 Doors). Made of pale golden Pearwood with a deep lustrous patination. Paneled top over three drawers and four cupboard doors divided by turned tapering columns. Made in France circa 1815.

Northern Italian Neoclassical Inlaid and Crossbanded Marquetry Burl Walnut Commode Circa 1750- 1780 . Quarter Book-matched burled veneers to the quirked top and sides, each with a central inlaid medallion. Kingwood crossbanding and boxwood stringing frame scrolls and mythological animals. The four drawers have multiple crossbanded inlays and extraordinary marquetry floral scrolls, Putti, a basket of flowers and a centaur mask. All typical decoration used on 18th century Italian Neoclassical furniture, with a remarkable depth of color and deep lustrous patination.
