19th Century English Burl Walnut and Rosewood Crossbanded Kneehole Desk

The rectangular top with an inset leather writing surface over three frieze drawers, the pedestal supports each with three further drawers on plinth bases veneered in deeply patinated and tightly figured burl walnut with rosewood banding. Made in England circa 1840.
